Day 12 - Nigadoo to Tracadie-Sheila

We packed up our wet things and were on the road before 8 am.

We found breakfast at Beresford, famous for its boardwalk, at a Resto 748. Everyone agreed that it was the best so far.

Wind was fairly strong and slightly helpful as we rolled through rural wind swept farming country.

We had lunch at Grand Anse at 60km then made arrangements to meet up for coffee at Caraquet. (T&D are a couple of kph quicker than us.) However, in this case things went awry, signs were missed and our little meeting did not take place until we got to Tracadie-Sheila.

Mummy Bear insists on saying Tracadie-Sheila in a strong Aussie accent for some reason the rest of us can't understand. We opted for a hotel tonight and got a good deal on a self catering suite at the L’Auberge Centre Ville. A good supper of pizza and fruit with a Gallo White and pumphouse red ale.

Mummy Bear’s observations of the Day: We passed 6 Tim H’s and a KFC painted in black, orange and white.

  7. Well, how the miles go so quickly (but not as quickly as the kilometers). They pass by with absolutely no pain on my behalf - unless of course I forget my glasses and have to squint to read of your continuing adventures.
You are a great inspiration, especially Ron. Having enough stamina for 2 Japanese girls on the same night! Keep on truckin'
Did you get my earlier request for info about your route on Toronto Lakeshore? Mike L

  9. Nice work. I came across your blog while “blog surfing” using the Next Blog button on the blue Nav Bar located at the top of my blogger.com site. I frequently just travel around looking for other blogs which exist on the Internet, and the various, creative ways in which people express themselves. Thanks for sharing.
