Day 67 Rest day Winnipeg.

Pictures Itinerary JDRF

We were picked up by Len and Bob at 10am for guided tour round Winnipeg. We stopped in at MEC to look at gloves, then, it was off to Portage and Main, for the photo and negotiated a complicated underground tunnel system to get there. We were regaled lots of stories, history and jokes as we went round the Legislature and took too many pictures of the Golden Boy.

The burnt out St Boniface Cathedral, loud bells rung by an electric system. The grave of Louis Riel and his family. The two statues of Riel, one of a statesman and one as a maniac shielded from public view. The best pizza of my life in Coryden.

Culture and open space took up the afternoon as we viewed the Leo Mol statues, and the Assinaboine Park. Very nice.

The evening was taken up with a BBQ at Neil and Val’s. Really excellent sausages.

Well that’s about all the news that’s fit to blog today, we have lots of photos today to make up for yesterday. Lol
